Ingredients:
half a cup of whole milk
2 teaspoons of baking soda
Cornmeal, 1 tablespoon
2 cups of chopped onion
3/4 cup of sugar, Half a cup of all-purpose flour, granulated
Toss with salt and pepper.
Cooking oil
Instructions:
To begin, gather all of the ingredients (with the exception of the oil) and combine them in a dish.
Later on, when the stove is set to medium-high heat, heat half an inch to an inch of oil in a deep-frying pan.
After the oil has heated up to around 175 degrees, drop spoonfuls of batter into the pan and spread it out slightly.
When you’re ready to remove the dumplings to drain on a rack lined with absorbent paper, brown them on one side, then flip them over and brown the other side.
Now you may top them with sour cream or any sauce you choose.
Enjoy!
