Apple pastries baked in the oven

Ingredients:

List of items needed:

– 2 cups of regular flour – 1/4 cup of sugar – 1 tablespoon of baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt – 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
– Two-thirds cup of milk
– 2 big eggs

– 2 tablespoons of melted butter
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract – 1 and a half cups of diced apples, preferably Granny Smith – A quarter cup of brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray.
In a big bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a different bowl, mix together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until they are well blended.
Slowly mix the wet ingredients into the dry ones, stirring until they are just mixed.
Mix the chopped apples and brown sugar gently until they are well spread out.

Place spoonfuls of the mixture on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
Bake for 15-18 minutes until the fritters are golden brown and fully cooked.
Let them cool a bit before serving.
Chef’s advice: Pour a basic mixture of powdered sugar and milk on top of the fritters for a bit of added sweetness! ✨

Enjoy!
